Dronacharya Award is an award presented by the government of India for excellence in sports coaching. The award is instituted in 1985, to honour eminent Coaches who have successfully trained sportspersons or teams and enabled them to achieve outstanding results in international competitions. The coaching award is named after Dronacharya, as he was the Guru of Arjuna.

     The award comprises of bronze statuette of Guru Dronacharya, a scroll of honour, ceremonial dress and a cash prize of Rs. 3.00 lakhs.
