Government Museum, Chennai is a multi-purpose State Government Museum located in Egmore, which is the heart of the city, spreading to an area of 16.25 acres of land. Six independent buildings in this Museum campus has 46 galleries.

Publications Counter: Publications of the department are available in the Sales Counter on all working days of the museum galleries. Bulk purchase may be made with discount by correspondence.

Tickets are issued at the Main Entrance and at the Contemporary Art Gallery from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Commercial film/video shooting is not permitted.
